Priced as one real production order by Merch.com — decoration, tax, delivery and fulfillment all in the goal.
We have 400 kids waiting for a reading tutor. What stands between them and a tutor is people who know we exist.
Last spring we tested it in three schools. A banner went up in each lobby, and our tutors wore the same shirt at the farmers market and the library fair, handing out a tote with a sign-up card inside. Sign-ups in those neighborhoods went up four times.
This fall we are doing it in all 14 schools. Each of our 300 tutors gets a recruiting kit: a navy tutor tee, three Read With Me totes to hand to a parent who asks, and a stack of bookmarks for the kids. Each school lobby gets a retractable banner.
$32 covers one tutor's kit and their share of the banners. Our goal is 100 new tutors by January.
Sponsor recognition, set by Riverside Literacy Corps
Where a sponsor’s brand can go
Riverside Literacy Corps decides where a sponsor’s brand may appear, and the main design stays theirs. A sponsor picks one of these and nothing else. On a live drive, this is what a company sees before it sponsors.

Riverside Literacy Corps’s design Sponsor placement
- Small printed recognitionA small printed line or mark away from the main design.
- Branded packaging or insertOn the bag or box the goods arrive in, or a card inside.
Drawn to show where, not the exact size. Nothing is printed until Riverside Literacy Corps approves a print proof, and no sponsor branding is ever added without their approval.
How backing works
Every dollar becomes goods
This goal is a real production order, priced before the drive went live — the items above, with decoration, tax, delivery and fulfillment in the number. The goal is the order.
Funded means made
When the bar fills, production starts. Riverside Literacy Corps never has to chase invoices or manage a vendor — the goods just arrive.
Every outcome counts
Land short of the goal and Riverside Literacy Corps still gets merchandise scaled to what was raised. Sail past it and the extra becomes credit toward what they need next. Nothing raised here goes to waste.
