About

Merchandise is how causes become visible.

Every nonprofit we work with runs on physical things. The walkathon needs five hundred shirts. The food bank needs volunteer aprons. The youth league needs jerseys, the shelter needs branded totes for adoption days, the cleanup crew needs safety vests. These are not luxuries bolted onto the mission — they are how the mission shows up in public.

But merchandise is exactly the kind of expense that is hard to fundraise for. It is concrete, it has a price tag, and it never feels as urgent as the program itself. So organizations put it off, under-order, or pay retail at the last minute.

Merch for Humanity flips that. Each drive on this site is a real production order at Merch.com, priced before it goes live — garments, decoration, tax, delivery. When you back a drive, you are funding line items, not a vibe. When the bar fills, the goods get made.

Why it works

We are not a fundraising site that forwards money — we are the makers. Merch.com produces merchandise for some of the most demanding brands in the world, and Merch for Humanity points that entire machine at causes. That changes the economics of giving:

  • Backing goes straight into production. Every goal is a real order priced at production cost before the drive goes live — decoration, tax, delivery and fulfillment all in the number.
  • Funded means made. The moment a drive is ready, it moves onto the same production lines as our commercial work — the organization never has to become a merch company to get merch.
  • Every outcome delivers. A drive that lands short still ships, scaled to what was raised. A drive that sails past its goal banks the extra as credit for what the organization needs next.

The fine print — all of it, in plain English — lives in our contribution terms.

Who is behind this

Merch for Humanity is built and operated by Merch.com, a merchandise platform that produces and fulfills custom goods for companies and organizations. Nonprofits on this site are real Merch.com clients; their drives are reviewed by our team before going live, and the production behind every funded drive runs on the same infrastructure our commercial work does.
