The work
Riverside Literacy Corps trains adult volunteers to read one-on-one with first, second and third graders who are behind on reading.
Our kids gain an average of 1.4 grade levels in a year with a tutor. We have 230 tutors and a waiting list of 400 kids, so what holds us back is how many people know we exist.
