Protect the Places We Love
Help protect the places we love with thoughtfully designed stewardship kits that equip volunteers with practical, reusable gear for cleanups, restoration projects, and caring for our shared environment.

The work
The places we love do not protect themselves.
Our beaches, forests, trails, parks, and neighborhoods depend on people who are willing to show up, get their hands dirty, and leave the outdoors better than they found it.
This campaign turns every donation into something tangible: a thoughtfully designed Outdoor Stewardship Kit filled with practical, reusable gear that can support volunteers participating in environmental cleanup, conservation, and restoration efforts.
Each kit is designed to be genuinely useful outdoors, with durable products that can be used again and again rather than disposable promotional merchandise.
A kit could include a recycled ripstop utility backpack, reusable insulated water bottle, durable work gloves, cleanup tools, reusable collection bags, sun protection, a field notebook, and other outdoor essentials.
Just as importantly, these products should feel like great outdoor gear first. Sierra Club Foundation branding should remain subtle so people will proudly continue using them long after the project is over.
Individuals can help fund a single kit, while corporate partners can sponsor dozens, hundreds, or even an entire volunteer initiative.
Protect a place. Equip a volunteer. Leave something better behind.
Any public campaign should be presented as supporting Sierra Club Foundation only once the organization has approved the partnership and use of its name and branding.
